Hydrawise are proud to announce our next generation internet-enabled controller models. This is our 3rd hardware release since we created the first cloud-based residential irrigation controller almost 3 years ago in 2011.
The new models come in 6 zone and 12 zone editions and feature a full color touchscreen for easy wireless configuration, troubleshooting and operation when you don't have your smart phone handy (or you want your mom to do something for you).
We spent a lot of time internally debating whether to include a touchscreen on the new model and decided that ease of use is our most important criteria. So, although you'll normally use our apps (or web browser) to control your irrigation from anywhere in the world, you'll also have the convenience of operation from the controller's touchscreen if you need to.
Our engineers were also able to reduce the cost of the controller hardware and we've passed those savings onto you - the new models are approximately 30% cheaper than our previous model. You can check out the pricing online.
So what's new?
New Enclosure
Our new controller's housing is a giant leap over the 2nd generation controller. The case is fully sealed meaning you can mount the unit in a protected area outdoors without worrying about things crawling inside and causing issues. Wire entry can be either from a conduit below the controller or via the rear of the controller.
Our Touchscreen
The touchscreen makes it really easy to add your wireless password to the unit and to view what's going on. Whilst a zone is running you can see how much time is left, how much current your solenoids are using (12 Zone Pro only) and the status of any sensors or flow meters you have attached to the system.
More (and less) Zones
We've created 2 models. A 6 zone edition is designed for smaller gardens, whilst our 12 Zone Pro edition is designed for the serious gardener in mind with support for broken wiring detection and expandability.
More Expandability
Our 12 Zone Pro edition has built in expandability to 36 zones with the addition of expansion modules.
